Languedoc holiday villas
St Etienne de Gourgas

Location

Le Mimosa and Chez Gebbie have been in our family for many years and both sit in the stunning bout du monde with open outlooks and beautiful views. The houses are about 10 minutes walk from each other.

The hamlet of St. Etienne de Gourgas is 7km from the cathedral town of Lodeve, which has a fantasic traditional market on a Saturday morning and a good selection of shops and restaurants, plus banks, tourist information and supermarkets.

The nearest large city is Montpellier, which is about 45km away and easily reached via the new motorway. Also within easy reach are Clermont L’Heraut, Pezenas, Lac du Salagu and the coast around Sete. A little further afield are the fascinating walled town of Carcassonne and the Roman town of Arles, sitting on the edge of The Carmargue.

As well as the long hot summer period, the Languedoc region regularly experiences beautiful sunny weather as early as April and through October, making it a great low season option for those able to visit outside school holidays.

Once you have booked your holiday we will send you our guide to the local area which gives you detailed information about the special places we have discovered over the years. The guide also includes information on eating out, from local simple fare to very traditional, to memorable stunning gourmet!

Some of the many possibilities open to you:
