We're quite heavily booked this year already but have availability in April and May, also September and one week in July. Please give me a call or drop me an email as I can offer special rates now for April and May. Please read on for more information about the area - it's a truly authentic part of France with great wine and some lovely local eateries including vineyard restaurants which are fabulous. The tranquil sun soaked valley of Saint-Etienne-de-Gourgas, a few kilometers from the Cathedral town of Lodeve, hardly changes from year to year and never disappoints. This peaceful hamlet, in the Languedoc region of the South of France, not far from Montpellier, is where our family villa sits, offering a holiday to completely rejuvenate you.
Imagine lunch of succulent heritage tomatoes with mozzarella or traditional steak tartare at the local bar, sipping a glass of beautiful languedoc wine beneath the plane trees, then relaxing by the pool or taking a walk around the stunning countryside.
The villa is detached and has its own private secluded pool and garden with beautiful views from the terrace, so it's a peaceful haven if you want to take it easy for the day. Alternatively there are local markets and restaurants to visit, bike rides (we have a good range of mountain bikes in the garage for you to use), beaches, vineyards, waterfall jumps and spectacular scenic walks right on your doorstep. Over the years we have written our local ‘guide for guests’ where we share all the amazing places we have discovered over the years.
The weather is great in summer with long hot sunny days, and the Languedoc region regularly experiences beautiful sunny weather as early as April and through October, making it a great mid and low season option.
Please browse the website and then call for a chat. We are very happy to answer any questions you may have. Susan & David Gebbie

We were a party aged from 2 to 72 and there was something for everyone. It’s nice just to know that this corner of france exists and I take pleasure in just thinking about it.
